Experience:
- Worked alongside youth, their family, and those legally representing the youth's interest in a therapeutic residential setting.
- Worked with those on assigned caseload to build rapport and ultimately skills in Mindfulness, Distress Tolerance, Emotional Regulation, and Interpersonal Effectiveness through treatment planning and weekly check-ins
- As a Family Advocate, worked alongside youth and families referred by the Department of Human Services due to concerns regarding disruptive behavior at home and/or school, involvement with drugs and/or alcohol, and contact with law enforcement.
- Worked with assigned caseload to build rapport with parents/guardians and youth to develop and tailor treatment plans to their unique needs/goals.
- As a Licensed Professional School Counselor, worked to connect with students, faculty, parents/guardians, and community members to develop professional relationships, which laid the groundwork for engagement in skill building, goal setting, and the establishment and/or incorporation of community programs that supported students academic and personal growth and development.
